Check Anglers Resource for guide sizes and spacing as a starting point. They list many different lengths and with various rod powers.

One thing that people need to be aware of is l''lgstatic electricity when using solvents and cleaning when spinning the rod blank. This has happened to me many years ago when cleaning other spinning rollers on industrial equipment. It isn't fun so be very careful.

I built a nice crappie rod that works well be me. I used the Batson XP840 which has been replaced by IMMP70UL. The blank is only 7'-0", but if he really wants a 7'-6" you will have to keep looking because this model line doesn't have one that long. My rod is coupled with a 500 series Shamino reel and incorporates the Fuji CR Concept for guides. It really is a dream to cast very smal

Ryan, Will this be expanding to other states across the country? It certainly makes sense to get the merchandise into the hands of builders to gain more knowledge about all the different product lines that Batson has to offer without having to buy them first. I know you make it to the various sporting shows that showcase the industry, but for some it isn't possible for us to get there.

It is my understanding that they are redesigning the logo based upon feedback from crafters, like us. It will be smaller, but I'm not sure when they will be out.

Michael, Are you willing to share your set-up for doing CCS measurements with us? I'm willing to send you my email address, if it is blocked (I can't remember how I have it set). I'm looking for something that won't take up a lot of space and it sounds like you might have something that I could be interested it.

Jared, I've been watching this topic for a while now and see the topic is now on to guide layout. I built a 7" UL with a size 500 Shimano reel using the KR Concept guide train. My first guide was a 12H (19.2" from shaft end), 4.5H (25.25" from shaft end) following by 4.5's (choke point at 31" from shaft end) to the tip. I use 4# nanofil line and it is a dream to cast. I

Terry has some very good advise. One thing is to either review the tax code to see what is and isn't tax deductible. If you aren't comfortable with that then you need to speak with a tax professional. Keep very good records and pay you taxes.

Can someone show me the data? I've never heard this about CP having this kind of property before, but it might have, I'm just saying that I've not read this or heard about it before.

I've never used the "plastic" chuck so I have no experience with it. But, I do have the ALPS upgraded chuck on my set-up and it has done everything that I've wanted. I've not made cork grip from rings, but have manipulated some and it did just fine. If I were to do more with cork I wound have a separate unit and a dirty room to use.

Jim Ising, Will you (Fuji) be publishing the guide weights for the various styles and sizes in the near future and if you do plan on doing that when do you think it will be ready for the public to see it?

Yep, there is nothing wrong with that. Besides when someone does a nice job and goes above and beyond a simple 2-5 line response on such a topic as this one, it deserves to be mentioned. Maybe it will get contagious and spread, what do you think Bill B?
