Jim,
Is the rod bend shown in picture a common characteristics for the Pin Point rods? Can you share with us the angle that the rod was bent at, from the picture it looks to be past the 90degree point?
Thanks

I know that in my basement when the temps are below 60 that I need to mix mine for 3 minutes to have a clear mix. Temp is also important when doing the mix.

The choice is really up to you, it doesn't matter. You just have to decide what you want the final color to look like.
I've done it both ways and it works fine.

39. Re: Finish Tape
If you do use masking tape do not use the crêpe back masking tape.
The crate pattern will allow the epoxy to see underneath.
If you want to use masking tape use the blue painters tape for delicate surfaces.
That uses a flat back paper it will not allow proxy to seep in.

41. Re: Match Guides
Time to ask a crazy question. What are "matched" guides? I've searched and really didn't see what I was looking for.

When using the sticks and your done with the wrap you start cutting the threads on the side of the sticks. There is a funnel caused by the sticks and the rod blank that you cut in to. Make sure to put a couple of tape layers on the blank then the stick then wrap the tape back onto itself - sticky side out.

How many layers of epoxy did you put on between the bottom and top layers of threads? Also to get more movement in the threads make sure you don't wrap too tight. The tighter the wraps or higher the thread tension the less movement or at least harder to move the threads.

Remember just because they offer guides in all sizes doesn't mean you have to use each one of them to go from point A to point B.

This maybe a little off topic, so please excuse me for that.
I've never fished with a rear grip as shown in the attached pictures. Are they comfortable to hang onto for long periods of time? I've never seen one up close or held one, but aren't they a little rough on the hands?
Again sorry about this being a little off topic.

Has anyone ever used a small guide as a hook keeper for saltwater use and if so what size/type did you use?

If I may ask, why didn't the hook keeper hold up, I would assume it was washed down with the rest of the r

I've done it both ways without problems. When the bottle gets down some I then decant some into a plastic mixing cup.
One thing that I did find was how much the CP will settle out when sitting for awhile. Without much mixing the top is still quite "watery". I've now started rotating my CP bottle in an old rod dryer check with a rubber chuck. I leave the mixer in the horizontal
