just looked at the hydra website and they say they spend most of their time in bassboats so they don't have all their ng blank weights listed. has anyone got a weight or specs on their dropshot blanks bt842ds or bt843ds

so fuji doesn't make a torzite single foot fly guide yet. on the torzite website they do have a 3.5 listed and what looks like a size 4 tip which i have been waiting for.

i understand but i think i may be using the smallest guides now. i use a sz 16 stripper than a sz 10 or 8 whatever works to sz 4 or 3.5 runners.

on the fuji torzite site they say you can use a size smaller guide because of the torzites being thinner than sics hence farther off the blank but only to size 12 though. my question is what are the smallest sizes i can get away with on a kr concept spinning rod that will still cast adequately . i want to save on weight but also some money because they are sure to be pricey

whats the deal with the iron feather 711 tip as they provide you with it, because its so small? did they have to make their own tip for the blank hence the price? i wonder if its a solid tip like the old clemens perigee blanks

113. shxi
has anyone ever had a shxi blank and more importantly what did it weigh? i think they were 64 million modulus blanks. were they real or mythical as i need answers

i knew the weights couldn't be right as they had the longer blank lighter. i like when a blank company has nothing to hide and list their blank weights but i now wonder if any of the weights listed on their site are true

115. mhx hm ds
as i perused the sponsors to the left i came across 2 high modulus mhx dropshot blanks a 6-10" and a 7-1" that according to them weigh 1.3 and 1.1 ounces respectively . surely this is a mistake as both blanks have over a half an inch butt measurement. but if this is true i will be ordering tomorrow.

i am kind of disappointed no one else besides me and you wants to talk shikari lore. i guess its time to turn the page, let go and forget about them and enjoy my new nfc's and my phenix rods. but i do need a new ds rod, hmm terry have you ever had a shxi blank as i would like to build a 7000. here we go, absence makes the heart grow fonder i guess.

i have built many shikari p popping and phs hotshot blanks before that were light weight and shx blanks were my favorite for many years. where can i learn about shikari history and their mandrels that nfc supposedly now has.

if you have a lucky rod stick with it. i have a gloomis 1380 noodle rod i built long ago that is ready for its third set of guides. the first set were double foot aluminum guides from italy that were light as a feather that i literally wore out. i then put some fuji high frame hardloy match guides and fished many years but they seem awful heavy now. i might have to try some light weight recoil gu

i have a psj 702 shx blank that weighs 2.6 ounces which is shocking to me since i have always considered shikari shx blanks light weight and on par with gloomis imx'es.
