speaking of finishing I was at a Dollar Store today and found a package of 5 brushes in a pack for one dollar...I tried some and they work great...they are flat nylon bristles and clean up good with brush cleaner. They do a nice job....Gene

If you leave the brush in the cleaner until next use, won't the cleaner contaminate the epoxy on the next use???? Gene

To stop the unwinding of the tinsel thread,I put on a small ruber band around the spool, it stops the unwinding.

11. tiger wrap
I just completed 4 tiger wraps and the patterns under did not show up very well. When you burnish the bottom, should some of the blank be showing between your S shapes? The underneath does not show through as it should...........any advice, thanks Gene

14. bubbles in epoxy
I have read a lot lately about bubbles in epoxy......I mix my epoxy in a plastic cup, stir with a flat stick, and blow out any bubbles with a straw.........I then put it on the rod, and blow out bubbles with a straw again.......I have had no trouble with bubbles in my finish. I put on finish with a brush with no problems. Gene

I have been using threadmaster for over a year, and like it. I stir with a flat stick and have no problems, I also use a straw to blow out bubbles and have no problem with them. Also gives a good finish. Gene

I have been using a rotisserie motor for over 10 years with good results. I have an eight rod setup on a length of conduit and two 10 inch discs with notches for the rods, works fine. Rods are held on with velcro. Good luck, Gene
