Tom, why are some of the messages about 3 times the width of my screen? Just curious

That would be on your end - how your monitor is set to display the page. You can change your browser's preferences to display in several different sets of height to width ratios.

I was wondering the same thing. Lately some messages ( the one below about EVA sheets)are too wide for my iPhone screen and I must scroll back and forth while others like this one fit the screen. Don't really think it is an issue on my end as it is not all bit only some. Need to check it on the home computer to see if the format differs .

I have no control over the display settings on either your browser nor your display unit.

Mine is doing the same thing. When I open a thread it is wider than my screen and I haven't changed anything. It started doing this about a week ago.

I noticed that too. I think I have it figured out. The admin has the settings set on the "Last Post" column to where the whole name shows on one line. This happened when Schneiders Rods posted....his is the longest name, so the column set to that width and adjusted the others on page 1. Now click on page 2, where he has not posted....you'll notice the columns go back to normal of what most are used to. It worked on my end when I did page 2.

I'm going to go ahead and post Last message on each of his last posts and we should be back to normal.

---I just posted on the last messages, and now my screen is back to normal since Schnieders rods is no longer the longest name

Don't be too hard on the offender. He is a famous book author, popular magazine author, prolific rod building forum contributor and an all around asset when someone needs help.

Hint, hint. [rodbuilding.org]

I went back and reread the previous post and maybe misunderstood. It appears that wide signature messages don't wrap properly and scroll beyond the edges making a wide message on my screen. However, my flat screen recently died and in the short term went back to a CRT which could explain why things aren't displaying properly.

I've noticed that on my iPhone as well. It seems to be only on threads with Billy Vivona's signature...Just an observation...
