If you buy from a good rod builder you will never fish a store bought rod again. I bet you spend top dollar for your reels right? Well they deserve to be fished with a top notch rod. Look at advid golfers they buy custom clubs. Why because the fit them not like store bought clubs. Tom I myself and not sure but would bet that many others would feel the same way. How about running a reprint of the first year at double the cost of back issues and only run it if you collected enough to make it cost effective. No printing unless enough orders were pre paid to off set and and all expences.

I have a customer that wants two rods built for his brothers that fish in Ark. They trout fish What would be the best all around weight flyrod for that area? Also Lengh and would you use the old style snake guides or one of the newer type guides out? Any help would be greatly appriciated and soon of course he wants them for christmas nothing like waiting till December!

I am building a 10' surf rod and the customed is putting a Penn 550 on it without the reel I have come up with a striperguide placement of 31 inches from center of reelseat to center of guide how does that sound? Anyone that can help please comment the handle is 23" from buttcap to rear of reelseat.
