I am looking to build a split grip spinning rod, 12-25lb line. 7' . I want to use it to cast poppers and plugs for striped bass and bluefish. Any reccomendations? The cheaper the better. If you dont mind a dark teal green blank check out the swampland website and go to the bottom of the closeout page. I'm building a similar rod now and the blank is $16

Mudhole has a whole bunch of nice blanks for under $19 in that 7' range. They call them e-glass specials, I think. I have built a number of those and can vouch for them. Re: Blank for 12-25lb Spinning Rod? For the Northeast thats not too expensive
