I am looking to build a split grip spinning rod, 12-25lb line. 7' . I want to use it to cast poppers and plugs for striped bass and bluefish. Any reccomendations? The cheaper the better.

Mudhole has a whole bunch of nice blanks for under $19 in that 7' range. They call them e-glass specials, I think. I have built a number of those and can vouch for them.

The new catalog for Seeker Rod Co. is up on their web site. You can find a number of blanks there that will fit your need.
