I received a Sage XP blank and noticed that on the inside of the female end of each section is a thin yellow and red line that runs the length of the blank. What is the purpose of this line? Does it designate the spine or straightest alignment? Re: Sage markings

Normally Sage marks the straightest axis of the sections. I would assume this is what you are looking at. ................. Re: Sage markings

Tom: No, he is seeing the inside wall !!! There is a two line marking. yellow and white, yellow and red, and / or red and white on XP blanks. I think it has something to do with the manufacturing process. Re: Sage markings

I believe Sage serializes there distributable blanks at the base of each blank under the finish. The blank needs to be held up to the light to see the number. Re: Sage markings

You may be correct. I was assuming he was talking about the common marks Sage uses to show the straight axis. ............. Re: Sage markings

Gentlemen, Thanks for your replies. The lines are on the inside of the blank. Re: Sage markings

I was told by sage that they somehow have buried inside the blank a marker of some kind that identifies what blank model it is. Kerry Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
