Tried Flex Coat Lite for the first time and two coats on the guides look good, the problem is it did not come out well over a long decal. I put the decal down and covered it with a two thin coats of CP which worked out well, the problem occurred when I applied the Flex Coat Lite over the CP it came out lumpy and inconsistent. Just received my first custom decals from Decal Connection. They were great to work with. The instructions say to put a coat of epoxy or CP on the blank where the decal will go. Has anyone noticed a difference? Is one easier to work with than the other for applying the decal over?

I've just started building rod so this probably won't be an issue for a while, but I was wondering if it was legal for me to build rods from the suppliers online (mudhole, Fitbit, ect) and put my "brand" on it, or will this be infrequent? I’m finishing up my first rod. Today I put the decal on and as much as I thought I was taking my time and getting air bubbles out I still had a few. I tried heating up the decal and use the burnishing tool to smooth things out. No luck. Mud Hole is sending me a new decal. Any suggestions to make it go better? I was also thinking of just using a quill pen to inscribe the rod specs. Thanks.
