I am looking for best practices when it comes to applying labels straight. I order my labels from decal connection and they go on with ease and look amazing. Very frustrating to spend the time on a rod and have a crooked label. My epoxy is level and covers perfectly. My only ask is how do you ensure you have the label perfectly in line. After researching here I purchased a Rainshadow Revelation 6wt 10ft 2 piece to build a vertical jigging rod. I wrapped the guides up last night and also wrapped the last 2.5 inches of the blank up to the tip top in fluorescent yellow (as a visual indicator). Is there any issue with wrapping that much of the rod tip?

I have a customer who would like a HS Mascot sticker on their rod I built.....problem is the sticker the customer supplied is not vinyl or plastic, it has some paper qualities to it and the edges of the customer's decal wants to curl up after the Pro Kote finish goes over it. I have been putting decals on for years and have only had problems with one rod company's decals . His decals seem to partially float up thru the finish. I complained and they now send 2 decals with all blanks, which have to be on the rod for warranty work. Anyone know where I can get a custom decal for a blank I'm working on? Its a Harley Davidson themed rod so I wanted to put a Harley logo on there. The folks at DecalConnection wouldn't print it due to trademark issues which is fine but that won't stop me from having this rod turn out the way I originally had planned.
