I fish those waters alot, well out of Oregon Inlet and Hatteras, and even out or Rudee Inlet in VA Beach. The blanks you listed will fit your needs, but for me, I use the American Tackle AXST60H and AXST60XH. The AXST60H is a 30-60 lb blank and is 6'. The 60XH is 50-80 and 6'. For your Raptor with the fishing you described, I would recommend the AXST60XH, (just incase BOSCO shows up) with o

The Nerbs had a JIG available at ICRBE. Not sure if Billy VIvona has any more or not, but it was a very different product.

Have to agree with you Randy. Great show as usual. Tom does some incredible work putting it together. Good seeing you as well buddy! Hope you can make a trip down for some salt water therapy!

Don't for get about American Tackle and their Bushido and Matrix line up. It's all I use anymore unless a customer is @#$%& bent on another brand. I build mostly saltwater stuff from inshore light tackle to heavy tuna trolling rods and everything in between. Can't say enough about the quality and customer service with the AT brand.

In that situation now. Ordered three weeks ago to the date. Was told 2-3 weeks shipping when ordered. No response to emails or calls. Very frustrating. Probably won't order from them again if I don't hear back from them this week.

I use the AXVJ's from American Tackle. I drop in 300-600 ft. Have a Talica 16II. Those blanks are awesome. Times 2 on the Virtus Heavy!

Have you looked at the Bushido jigging line up from American Tackle? I had some of the RCKJB's and switched to the Bushido's. I can't really describe the difference, but for me, the Bushido jigging blanks suite my style of fishing better.

Virtus Heavy for sure. All of my personal Offshore rods and cobia rods have them.

The American Tackle AXVJ7060-325 would work in the length you requested. My personal favorite for yanking Groupers and TIles from 300-600ft is the AXVJ5810-500 but it's only 5'8".

I'm partial to the American Tackle CB728-15 or CB7210-20 for those applications. The CB72 8-15 is excellent for the lighter crank baits. I use 10lb braid on a 200 Shimano curado with these blanks regularly, and absolutely love the casting distance I get with the lighter baits.

Build many slick butts on ATX blanks. Masking tape or Drywall tape, and then glue the ever loving @#$%& out of it!! Make sure there is contact at the bottom, middle, and top of the slick butt.

I throw alot of top water. Spooks, and chug bugs mostly. I like the American Tackle Bushido MB68/12-20 for that application. Of course depending on your specific area needs you could up or down a blank size in that line. I promise you won't be disappointed with the AT blanks. Craig

All rods will break if proper care is not given. If you got sacred off of the MHX blanks, (no reason to be) Then I would should suggest looking at the American Tackle Bushido line of blanks.

Bobbin by far is best for me. I can't wrap a rod without a bobbin. It's almost like having a third hand.

The American Tackle Bushido MB68/10-17 is great blank for jerk baits. Fits the description you mentioned to a T. I use this blank for tossing 17MR and 52M/MR Mirrolures in saltwater and it works incredibly well.

I live in the salt! The MW30 is a great set of guides as well as all the MW system. I have them on rods for just about everything you can encounter from the creeks to the canyons.

I throw alot of topwater in the saltwater for trout, pups, and rockfish. My go to blank for top water is the American Tackle Bushido MB68/10-17. I throw spooks, chug bugs, and skitter walks with this blank and have fantastic results. Give it a shoot, you will no be disappointed.

I fish the Ches. Bay for rock. My go to for rock fish trolling blanks is the American Tackle AXGC60H. If you think it needs cut, I would recommend cutting more from the butt than the tip. Like if you want to cut 6 inches cut two from tip and four from butt. Try the blank, you will not be disappointed.

Anyone have any experience using the new reel seats by American Tackle? Ease of gluing, matching to grips, feel, etc.
