I am wanting to build a new drying box. I am thinking of building the drum style dryer, but am not set yet. Yes you can, if you have large "sags" you can slice them off with a sharp razor and then sand and recoat. I have used as rough as a 180 grit and it the marks disappeared with the next coat of epoxy, but usualy use a finer grite something in the 220-300 range

I agree completely, so why loose $ on one orders shipping and then stick it to the next guy that orders thread or win

I have to disagree with Tom here, a lot of the retailers charge based on the $ value of shipping contents instead or an even close approximation of actual shipping. There is one sponser on this board that i just cant do business with. I do order multiple sets of guides at a time which will add up very quickly, next thing you know a 300 order of guides cost 20-30 to ship, when the actual charges a

My post about UV protection has no misinformation in it. My curiosities of the uv protection were on the structural side of it. I have repaired countless rods finished with varnish that will literally fall of the rod and wraps. That is what I was curious about, how long could we expect the finish to last before it becomes brittle and breaks down

I thought it was very interesting. I have to say it isnt anything I am interested in, but it may be good for a repair shop to have to get thing fixed and fishing in a hurry. I was curious about the uv protection it would offer if any, I just never got the chance to ask

I really dont think so, the only thing that makes it difficult is when there are 2 siminars at the same time you want attend. Then you have to choose which one is more important to you. I have no problem seeing all the vendors I want in one day.
