32. Swimbait Rod
I did a split grip on this and it is actually very comfortable for me to fish with. The large foregrip is perfect for fighting larger fish and the butt tucks nicely under my arm. The snake skin is cobra.

BYAG 25 Black wrap with metallic silver single thread inlay and trim. I'm not the greatest photographer, please excuse the dust on the wrap. This rod has been used...heavily!

38. PSE Rod
A shot of the stickers on the split grip. There's a bad glare under the word 'archery' but it looks flawless in person.

I found a nice silver metallic pen at a local 'Mart that does a good job on rod blanks. As suspected, CP smudges it badly (glad I tested it first). What I've been doing is signing the rod and applying epoxy directly over it. So far, I've had no issues.

43. Butt Wrap
I like doing short, simple butt wraps. I like the cleaner look but it still adds a nice touch. The inlays are single, double, and triple threads with a 4 thread tag wrap.

I'm please with how my first attempt came out. It's easy when you have good instructions! I used testors paint (flat black and silver) and Flex Coat High Build for my epoxy.

Look at the Phenix Inshore blanks. I built a 9’ rated for 3-8oz and it’s a great rod for smaller baits- and it’s super light.

I build 99% freshwater rods so I need some recommendations on some builds. A buddy of mine fishes out of the Jersey shore and he wants some rods built for tuna/shark and a separate set of rods built for trolling for striper. He trolls big tandem rigs and umbrella rigs for the striper. He's putting Penn Squall 60's on the tuna/shark rods and 30's on the striper rods. I've been looking into the

Mark, mock up your grips, tape your guides on and take a few test casts with the rod. I’ve done this on several occasions and it typically only takes a few casts to get dialed in. I would think that 14-15” would be a good starting point for a steelhead rod.

I’m not aware of any fiberglass blanks that fit your needs. RodGeeks has the SRF120HMF2 which is a 12’er in their surf lineup with the lure ratings you spec’d.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of getting a thread match for Ohio State's colors? I prefer to use Prowrap NCP thread.
I'm thinking Mars Red #331...yes?
Thank you!
