93. Micro Spiral
So Ive done a few rods with all on top micros using size 4 fujis. Now I want to try my hand at a micro spiral. When using the micros all on top Ive been pushing out the butt guide to between 22-24 inches from the reel spool center. is this common to do using the micro spiral as well? I was going through some old notes i had on the forhan spiral and I think its the way to go with micros. But a

When I pulled the guide off, the bare threads matched up almost perfect with gudebrod dark green. After finish not so much, I wonder if the rest of the guides are just discolored from age and uv exposure?

100. Excise Tax Question
Have a question on the excise tax. I know some people list it separate on the invoice and some hide it in the rod cost.
If you hide it in the rod cost aren't you making the customer pay a higher sales tax as well, because the amount is included with the product?
My thought was if you list it separate you shouldn't have to pay a sales tax on the extra amount. I know its not a huge differ

When doing a split seat how long of a threaded barrel do most of you use? I'd like to make it as short as I can, but I'm worried about using a different reel in the future and cutting it too short

Sounds to me that fuji has a winner! What do you think the chances are that these wind up on the production micro rods? Fuji had to be thinking that when they released them. For these big rod companies they need something that is going to hold up and help prevent failures. They wont make it in the micro business if guides are popping off rods, they would lose their butts in the warranty depar

Just like the title says.
If as a bass fisherman you could only have 5 rods on your boat what would they be?
For me it would be....
1. 6'6" - 7' Spinning finesse XF action
2. 7'6" H power for flipping
3. 7' M or MH "Worm Rod"
4. 6'6" - 7' XF M power "spinner bait rod"
5. 7' MH "crank bait rod"

I was looking for what people thought about the two seats. I have used the aero before and like it alot. My only complaint is that its only a sz 16 and seems small for some applications. How does the NPS compare as far as comfort and weight?
