I had read a lot before building our first spiral. Then I set the guides so that the butt guide worked great with the reel, in this case a Stradic. I set it so that it was at a proper disatance so the line was spooling fine, and in a position so that the line was fed naturally to the bumper guide. Then down to the next guide. As it sets, the rod butt is probably on the left, turning away from you... If you switch the set up from end to end, with the rod butt to the right, the rod should now turn toward you and down. The butt is just on the right, tip on left. Is this a possibility? I know it would work an a lot of wrappers. Kyle Robinson
