61. Re: Weaving
The Wonder Weaver is the Cadillac of looms , well worth the investment if your planning on doing alot of weaving. If your just getting started and don't want to lay out the big bucks ,you can get a loom and Doc's DVD directly from him, he just got a shipments of DVD's in last night.

What a great show Tom, all your hard work has really paid off. It would be hard for me not to come back next year.
Thanks again for all your effort.

63. Re: Thank you
Ken,
It was nice to meet you and thanks for letting us use you dremel for cutting down those blanks, wish I would have had more time to strike up a conversation but I know how after a long week-end everyone was ready to wrap it up and get out of there.

Hey Richard, too bad you can't make it, gonna be a lot of fun. If you can make the one at my place in April we still have room for five more builders.

Hey Scott,
I've got one I can send you, best if I just send you the whole blank and you can send the one you have back to Dan when he returns and I'll settle with him. E-mail me your shipping address and I'll get it out in the next hour or so.

Jim Kastorff has a nice inexpensive loom , if I remember right they come in 30, 50 & 70 thread.
Here's his E-mail but I'm sure he'll chime in. sdrodblder@aol.com

My vote goes to the Dan Craft Sig. V and FT series. In my opinion I believe they are the best cost/performance blank on the market bar none.

That's all I use for my guide wraps and weaves , I like the large color selection. I think you'll find that you have to pack it as you go a little more than the standard wrapping threads but after you do a few rods you won't have any trouble.

The best results I've had with light thread in my weaves has been a couple of coats of 811 then a coat of Perma-Gloss before I apply my epoxy. Have to agree whole heartedly with Tom about the consistency of the different batches of 811, I also thin with alchol at about the same ratio as Tom if needed.
