Listen to Andy and your problems will go away. I had the same problem, and found that 70 degrees is the answer. Threadmaster will self level and be as bubble free as possible for an epoxy at this temp. Being in the north east, making rods in the winter, I have Threadmaster nto be the best leveling and most bubble free of any ( have used, not to mention that it does not want to turn yellow as d

Check out a fly shop for holographic mylar. It comes in spools, is very easy to see in poor light (picks up light), looks good as well. It is available in a wide range of colors. Just weave in a piece .250 or .300 and he will be all set.

I have used " PAM " spray for this purpose. It is cheap, easy to apply and readily available. Gets ib all nooks and crannys very well.
