I've been using the Fuji solid titanium, silicon carbide inserted stripper guides on my fly rods. I also use the matching titanium tip tops. I use the Recoil single foot fly guides for all the runner guides. I'm wondering if anyone has any info as far as weight differences between the titanium tips and the Recoil tips. And/or, the weight differences between the titanium fly guides and the Recoil

I second that. The Elite Tournament Spinning series from CTS is the lightest, most sensitive and strongest blank I've ever used. Many colors to choose and beautiful finish. You will not be disappointed.

I think it's wonderful that CTS hasn't strapped themselves with the huge advertising (hype!!) campaigns of the leading high end manufacturers. This is what allows them to actually "be" the cutting edge in blank technology.
After all, a few year old Mercedes is still a huge upgrade from a brand new Ford, GM, etc. (nothing against Ford or GM. I own two GM products).

I'm building 6 1/2', med. light spinning rod on a new CTS Elite blank (beautiful) and when I space out the guides I come up with a total of 8 guides. I used the technique outlined by Tom in the library for spacing and size. I'm using the Fuji Titianium TSYG single foot guides. I'm starting with a #25, #16, #10, #8, and 4 #6.
