This one is under the radar but is my personal favorite for 8-16 ounce jigs. The amazing thing about the IMU76XH is that its a full flex blank similar to the knife jig style but longer. I especially love this blank when in rougher seas because it will load its self without fowling the jigs not to mention when fighting fish up you can load the rod with the swells and reel into the drops. Since 80% of the fishing I do is trolling in both fresh and saltwater I would recommend going with a handle set up that will out last anything else that I have found. The 3K Gray Woven tubing or Woven Texalium Silver tubing is the way to go read more here # The main difference between the two that I have found is that the 3K is much more sensitive and will never wear under nor

I think as long as the popper is 4-8 oz you could load that tip up fairly well but maybe a bit to stiff of action to keep the plug in the water. The IMU69XH would be worth a look at for a popper spinner it has about 12 inches more tip flex.

Are they similar to one of these? Forecast® “Tough Stick™” Saltwater Rod Blanks The name says it all, “Tough Stick™”. These are designed for the angler that demands the toughest blanks around. Built to tame the meanest, ugliest fish that swim in the water. Great for boat rods, jetty fishing and any situation where you need a blank that will stand up to a ton of extreme abuse.
