Ely, If you can find one, a GMU764 is what I used to wrap for the same situation. I use to get em' from Cabela's for $39 ea. Listed as Musky blanks and only had two sizes,(7.0 & 7.5). The butt section was reinforced with a cross wrap of graphite webbing 18". I built a few for guys pluggin for Stripers wearever they would see the guls working over the bait that were being chased by the St

It'll work. He may have a reason why he provided you with those guides. Nine guides will be fine on that rod. Don't use a chart, set it up the best way you know how. Static load is a sure way to know what the rod needs. Wrap it and give it to him. He'll love it.

Ed, Your giving it too much thpught! I have never wiped or cleaned anything I put finish on or mixed in. I use all brands of epoxy and mix and apply the same way. Most important is a equal 1:1 mixture. I mix using( pixie stix) drink sterrers that you can pick up wherever barware is sold. After mixing for about a minute let it sit for another minute and then apply with whatever it takes to get it

Barry, I built myself an 11' CTS vapor trail 3-6 0z this past March using "K" guides. My first is a 30mm facing foreward all out to the tip.I'm using braid on a Okuma RAW II 65 spinning reel. Pushing Hopkins and big surface bombs outta sight. I have to look for the splash. No tangles, ever in the guides. I have never reversed a butt guide so, I couldn't say if it matters or not.

Try metallic gun metal. I just compleated an 11' Lamiglas Ben Doer surf rod for myself with that color wraps. The blank color is rootbeer and I didn't want any flash but, I also didn't want black wraps. You have to give it a good eye in the sunlight to see the wraps. It looks industrial, no nonsense, like a wepon. I used 3M safety walk tape in place of cork tape on the handle for magnum grip. Its

Lynn, I may be wrong but, any current FUJI guide from Anglers Resource would be safe to use with braided line due to the fact that they all have ceramic inserts. The tip/top is the guide that would show the first sign of wear.

Jim, Same way they put window tint on, a little soapy water sprayed on before you lay down your decal. Let it dry. Coat with C P. Finish with epoxy.

Jay, You can do it. You only need 12'' surface area for a Pac-Bay unit because the thread carrage is in front of you. If you had a Renzetti, you would need 18". If you can wrap #4 micro's with single thread inlays, I would have a party in there just to break it in. Good luck with your new wrapping room. Now thats the real meaning of a "MAN CAVE".

I agree with Mr. Gamble,"Pay No Attention to the man behind the curtin"... It's on you, and if you depend to make a living at it, than it's all over you... and you better not try to wash it off, just get use to wearin it.

I must have 100 lbs. in the back of my truck which a friend is interested in taking.I hated to do it but I just had t
