Email from the boat owner - "This fish was caught on a custom made Woodsmen 8' crank bait rod. The fisherman has cuts to his thumb area and a sprained finger as he attempted to wrestle with this beauty. Picture was taken with a Verizion phone so I apologize for its quality."

Personal 8' 964 with 5mm,4mm, 3mm (9ea.) then 3mm tied on with Forhan wrap. Rod weight is 3.8 oz with no effort to keep it light. Rear grip is 10.75" total.

The two decals on the bottom were done with the same mix of TM lite and same brush. The green decal was sprayed with Krylon matte and it fish eyed.

First - Thanks to Masters Throop & Colby! Always heard top layer should be dark. Customer wanted to match light blue reel so I tried samples until I hit on black & silver base with Gudebrod light blue on top.
