Jim, As per my recent email, the jpeg save feature is only for giving a quick snapshot of the grid image. If you print using the Print button (and you can print to PDF if you have a pdf printer installed) then there is no cropping of the image, and you can specify the number of cells per inch for the printed grid. The actual project file is saved without cropping of the image. Regards Dave

VisualWEAVE lets you specify the number of grid cells per inch to print. When it prints out on multiple pages you can then join the pages, similar to what Ellis suggested. A printer that prints on larger paper would make this easier. Regards Dave Boyle www.threadcentral.net

On a couple of rods I wrote names free form and stuck them down with CP. The trick I used back then was to tie the threads in place with long strands of my wife's hair - taken with permision of course! - and removed the hair once the CP had set.

If the rod has a decorative cross wrap or weave on it, you could then customise the rod bag with the same pattern. You could either get the bag monogrammed or look into getting an iron-on transfer made. Dave Boyle www.threadcentral.net

Hi Bruce, You can save the files anywhere, but the most logical place to save them is in the Program Files\VisualWRAP\Patterns folder. That is the location that VisualWRAP goes to by default when you use the File Open command. If you choose to save them somewhere else then you can always navigate to that alternative location using the File Open browser. One note - if you downloaded the zi

While I'm at it I'd also like to publicly acknowledge Ernie Smith who has been quietly helping others to get vizwrap running on Vista as well. It is this sharing attitude that makes me really happy to be involved in this great craft. You guys rock. Regards Dave

Spool 9 = Grip colour Spool 10 = Rod colour Spool 11 = End wraps Spool 12 = Under wrap colour Spool 12 will be black if you don't set the Underwrap option (Preferences/Wrapping/Flat View). If you set the option to use an underwrap then spool 12 becomes visible on the toolbar and you could use it in a script if you wanted to. With Underwraps enabled, pressing the Clear button will set the

If you look in the VisualWRAP Pattern Library in the "All Patterns" category you will see images of various cross wrap patterns. If you scroll down the list you should see one called Checkerboard. Is that what you have in mind? Regards Dave Boyle www.threadcentral.net

Bucky, The idea is to create the text in another program, save it as a bmp or jpg file, then import that file into vizWeave. You could use MSPaint (pretty basic) or another graphics program. You could even use MS Word to create the text on the screen in a large size, then press the Print Screen button to save an image of the screen, then open up Paint or any other graphics editing program, pas

Hi Giorgio, If you have a picture in the grid and want to add rows or columns, you can. To add a new row: Click just to the left of the grid (the column containing the row numbers) at the position you want to insert the row. The entire row will highlight. Right click and choose "Insert". similar procedure for inserting columns. Billy, Some great new wraps there! The most sat

I travelled half way around the world for the 2008 show and had the time of my life. I consider it a privilege that I was able to attend and spend time with a bunch of fantastic people brought together by the craft/hobby/passion we share. While I can't be there in 2009 due to work commitments, I highly recommend to anybody whose even considering going this time to "just do it"...and po
