Hi Mike, If you did apply CP to a half finished wrap you would then lose the ability to pack the wrap as you finish it off because the CP'd threads would be locked in place. Not so much of a problem if it's an open wrap. Dave

Jim, Thanks for the feedback. I'm sorry for any confusion caused. This feedback will help me improve the product (including the website) over time. The tutorial is available on the CD, but also available from your Windows Start menu. There are links to the start the software, to launch the Help File, or launch the Quick Start tutorial. G'day, I finally made it home this morning. I've just unpacked my bags and am going over all the show highlights in my head. What a great time I had! It was a fantastic show and I really enjoyed meeting so many friendly and helpful people. Apart from the show, while in NC I got to celebrate an unexpected birthday, managed to cast a fly rod without snagging up on anything, got to blast

Hi Walt, I hope you like the tightwraps link to the colour combo tester. The advantage of having it on a web page like this is that once you are happy with the colour combo you can email the URL so your client can see if they like it. They can even experiment with the colour schemes then email YOU the url and say "wrap it like this". Cheers Dave Boyle www.visualwrap.com

Don't ask me, I'm certainly no thread art expert - BUT - come to the 2008 Custom Rod Show and ask the thread art experts themselves! * Jim Upton will be there - can't wait to see his new book on weaving * Doc Ski will be there - thread art legend and mentor to many * Mark Crouse will be there - if it can be wrapped (and even if it can't) Mark can wrap it * Billy "teh King" and the

G'day, I am very happy and excited to announce the imminent release of "VisualWEAVE". VisualWEAVE is new weaving design software. Some of you may have used Cross-Stitch software to create grid patt

Hi David, VisualWRAP runs fine on some Vista machines but not on others. On those that it does not work on it can be made to work by changing some windows settings (disabling User Access Control). I have posted some info on the website regarding this. regards Dave Boyle www.visualwrap.com

Hi, At the moment the VisualWRAP software is not supported to run under Windows Vista. It appears to run under Vista Business edition OK, however the Vsita Home edition is proving to be troublesome. If you are considering purchasing the software and want to run under Vista please ensure you contact me before doing so. Regards Dave Boyle www.visualwrap.com

Hi, Vizwrap installs from an msi file and runs as a Windows executable file. It also requires MS Internet Explorer installed so as to view 3D patterns. The Mac would need to support each of these if Vizwrap were to run successfully on it. A Windows Emulator would give you such an environment. Regards Dave Boyle www.visualwrap.com

Hi Bill, As Mike says, the Spacing List gives measurement for the centre of the pattern. If you click on the 2D Draw button on the Spacing List window it will superimpose the spacing measurements onto the Flat View of the wrap so you can see the result visually . The main assumption made by vizwrap when calculating these spacings is that the pattern is square. In your case you used a spacin

Hi Raymond, Lessons we learned from the Sydney Rod Builders Club: - We met monthly - this proved to be a little too often. - People paid a token amount each visit to cover hire of the room. - We advertised initially by doing a pamphlet drop at local tackle stores, thereafter on the internet thru various chat boards. The letter drop was by far the most effective method. - We targeted any

G'day! Mark - The official website will be visualweave.com. It is still under construction. More details will be posted both here and on visualwrap.com as soon as it is available. Ray - Mac compatibility is to be determined. VisualWEAVE currently runs on Windows. There are a couple of options available for Mac compatibility that are being considered, but I can't make any guarantees.
