All rods have at least one side they bend to more easily than others. Once you find this spot, it should be up when in my hand because when I swing that rod backwards I am counting on the rod bending in the spot it wants to bend easiest so when i come forward on the cast the rod will respond back towards straight on the same path or close. I align my backswing for that soft bend spot in the rod.

I do. That's why I use it to my advantage, but use in a way that is less likely to skew off to the side which is why soft side goes up so it stays straighter on the backswing and

Not sure how that is going to work out since the pfizer vaccine requires -94 degrees Fahrenheit for proper storage.

I use a slightly dulled tip dental pick so it won't scratch the blank, and I can use it to push the thread wraps closer together and tighten things up and eliminate any gaps.

I just put an email in to them about the SCV blanks.
I'd like to purchase the SCV70MF but the rodgeeks website says this one and many others are all sold out.
I am inquiring about when they will be available again.

I called St. Croix and they would not confirm nor deny what they have purchased or not, but said they would take calls on rodgeek rods whatever that means. When I asked them directly if they are now covering warranties on rodgeek rods all they would say is they will consider requests and to give them a call.

lol! Snapping rods from China is more than imagination!
Just look at Roland Martin's growing collection of them in a video I posted in another thread... he has a hundred of them in one corner of his rod room and I'd bet more than 95% of those rods are from China.
