+1 for Lemke or McCoy - the Lemke seats are just beautiful, and I use them on personal rods.

Nicholas, We make a lot of blanks for JDM companies, they will import NFC blanks, make them into rods, and export them back out to the US/rest of world. The trout blanks for the JDM market are mostly two piece when they go above 7ft... The F5 is about 1/6 oz and the F11 about 3/16oz, the F7 a 1/8oz I would again recommend a blank we made specifically for the BFS application the P700.

Ben, I like to use a foregrip that is about 4 inches (about the length as the palm of most hands) and a 14 inch rear grip for a 10’6 long rod. For the foregrip: (pressed up against the barrel of the real seat) For the rear grip: Best, Aleks

Hi Ben, I use the ST 1065 exclusively - If the river is very small, you can go down to the 905, but the 10’6 is perfect for a long float/drift as the length makes it easier to mend line off the water. The blank is rated 10-20 , so it’s very versatile. If you are floating eggs instead of jigs - go for the carbon handle, it’s easier to clean. Best, Aleks

Dear Rodbuilders, 11'0" 2 weight European Nymphing style blank added to our FAF product line! This blank weighs 1.5oz, with a tip size of 3.5m and has astounded our field testers for its ability to protect the lightest of tippets (8x anyone!?) Direct Link to blank below! Best Regards, Aleks

Russ - I would definitely apply a coat of finish on the X-ray blanks/ delta blanks before the decals. The rest you can apply directly onto the blank as mentioned by others above. Michael - A small oven would be perfect. You would need to place the grip inside, let the oven ramp up to 300, and it should be done after about 20 mins. Kerry, Only the "Delta" blanks are rough/un-sanded, the X-Ray blanks have ridges, but they are very fine, the "mirror-black" are polished. SM, IM, HM blanks are all sanded. To everyone that replied - Thank You! We use a carbon fiber braid (for our grips) that is impregnated with a special resin. It has a shelf life of about 24 months in ambient temperature (about 75%) does not need to be refrigerated and it is single stage. (You don’t need to mix part and and part b) The key is that it needs to cure at about 300 degrees for 15-20 mins to kick over. We cure

You absolutely can - but I assume that if you don’t have an oven dedicated to “tinkering” the burn off from resins used would not be too kind to the kitchen area... Chris Catignani Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Why couldnt we also put it in an oven?
