Dear Rod building community, We are building (what we think!) is the most comprehensive rod builder map both US and Worldwide. Ove the course of a year, we will get thousands of calls and emails of consumers looking for custom rod builders. We decided to make it easy for them to locate, and get in touch with THEIR LOCAL BUILDER. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE AN NFC CUSTOMER, and DON'T NEED TO SU

Dear Rodbuilders, Happy Sunday! I wanted to personally reach out and thank you, the rodbuilding community for the support and your orders. We are still running a bit of a backorder on some bass and inshore models, as well as our shortest carbon-tex grips. We are planning on adding some more shapes to the lineup, if you think we are missing some, please let us know. If you are in the

Hi Everyone, Full disclosure, I am the CEO/Partner at NFC (for those that will yell that I am biased later ;-) ) 1) Tom is right, there are a number of reasons to offer 50% off on blanks a. It give's those folks that are "on the fence" about trying a new brand product to pull the trigger b. It gives the general public the ability to buy blanks and send them to their rod-builde

Phil, Very good question. There are two fiber manufacturers left in the US, Hexcel and AGY, and we use both of them. There are fiber types that are only made in Japan by Toho, Mitsubishi, or Toray. Of those three, we use the fiber of Toray, it is then pre-pregged in Tacoma, WA. (for certain applications) We see a lot of discussion about modulus and fiber, and there are drawbacks and b

Dear Rodbuilders, If you are looking for the classic action Gary Loomis blanks, we have made it a little bit easier: (i.e. if you are looking for a Loomis MB843 or a 1562) here you go: This page will tell you what model in our current lineup matches the "classics" P.S. They are on sale too!

Dear All, We are working very hard to expand our product portfolio - but if you are looking for an American made performance blank that start from $45, check out our Delta series: Unsanded, using material blends, very light, very very tough. P.S. We also wont tell you that we put unicorn horn in the pre-preg, but there is a reason why our blanks are on average 30-40% lighter. ;)

Bill, If you are in Alaska, (or Hawaii) shipping is much more than we charge. $30 shipping is flat rate, irregardless on the length of the blank. We make a lot of blanks over 8 feet, which cost A LOT MORE than $30 to ship. There is nothing "sneaky" about our shipping. To ship from Portland to New York, costs more than $30 (we use FedEx) Same for Portland to Florida. We are always ha

Tony, These are all rumors. Gary is at NFC/Edge daily, travels to all the shows, and is currently working on our LMX X-ray blanks. Its a new generation blank that is lighter and stronger than anything we have ever introduced, which I hope we can announce next month. We have been busy, new factory, new patents, and new business lines - (gun barrels and antennas). Tell your outfitter to pick

Michal, Going to a direct business model outside of the US does not make economic sense due to shipping/insurance costs and returns/refunds/warranties. To ship a 7 foot blank costs roughly $75 (at the cheapest) and some countries in Europe (like Poland/Romania/etc) run into the hundreds of dollars. If a customer has an issue, it becomes cost prohibitive to send a shipping label for a return or

Dear Rodbuilders, Thank you for taking the time to read this note - we exist largely as a company because of you. Gary started making custom rods for himself when he could not find a factory rod that would allow him to catch summer run steelhead. Forty years later, (and yes, even a few companies later) the custom rod builder is at the center of what we do. We are announcing today that we ar

Apologies for the slow site at times - with the sales, we are processing several hundred orders a week and it causes the website to act a little slow. All of the specs are posted within every grip/shape page: If you click on the link, its about the middle of the page, there is a table. You will find this table as you click on every one of the "9 squares" Thank You, Alex
