We are planning on bringing as much of our blank selection as possible, as well as carbon fiber grips, and other goodies that we manufacture. We are planning on having product catalogs, a new product release and other announcements at the show. If there is anything that you would like to see, and would like to make sure that we bring it - please let us know! Best Regards, Alex

Pawel, The CB704 is a hybrid - class/carbon, so the backbone will be much stiffer than on the APF742. The CB704 is primarily intended as a light crankbait rod, that you can boat flip a bass with. The APF742 has a much more progressive / parabolic action. Take a look at the deflection charts too. Best Regards, Alex

Phil, I want to start off commenting with "All glass is not the same" There are a number of varieties and types (just as with carbon) with the most common being S glass and E glass. In the "days of old" the most common references are L-rod and H-rod (all of these were "roving" type, which really means a twisted glass yarn) L rod was a weave, approximatel

" We are the blank makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, and sitting by desolate streams; - World-losers and world forsakers, on whom the pale moon gleams: Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems." (Original by Arthur O'Shaughnessy) I just changed one word. Thank you for your partnership and support in 2021!

Norm, All, I took the liberty of downloading the database and file created by Gib - the sheets were protected from editing and the file was encrypted. No problem. I recreated the file almost exactly. I say almost because I took out the MSRP from the database (there have been too many changes to the MSRP, and will continue to be over time, and I am not sure how relevant the MSRP is to what t

Ben, Yes it does - S2 is more durable than standard carbon and according to the manufacturer (AGY) slightly more durable than e-glass. Thanks Norm! Very useful indeed. I'll get the "rest" of the NFC blanks added - do I send them to you once I have added them to have them added/shared to the database? (Is it shared on your one drive, or still Gibs?) Michael, Phil, "Message fell on deaf ears" - it did not. We use ERN and AA in our blank development and rating - and if you recall, a number of years ago we published this: I don't want to get ahead of myself - but we have about 90% of our blanks (or about 700 models) nearly ready with ERN and AA info...I expect to publish it by the end of the month (here's a snip attached)

Scott, The listed blanks are one piece. (There's a table at the bottom, and the -1 behind the models is our way of indicating a one piece) We do make blanks out of this material in 4 piece variations. We call them "Iconoglass" Best, Aleks Scott Appley Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I can't tell from the listing on the sight. Is the &g

Gary, We call those "Iconoglas" and carry them in the Fly Section. As you can see, many folks build them up as multi piece spin or cast rods (we carry them from a 4wt up to a 12wt in the same colors) Best, Aleks Gary Weber Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi,, > It looks like some multi-piece casting or > spinning blanks in the

Derick, I have no desire to recommend a blank (as I have twice now) and watch it come back to warranty if it blows up. I plunk, on the Bonneville for Sturgeon, and on the Columbia for Steelhead. So do a number of the members of our staff. If you are local, by all means stop in. We are at 1395 Down River Drive, Building D. In Woodland, WA. Aleks Derick Jahnke Wrote: ---------------

Derick, I know that I have mentioned this before - take a look at the SUR1167, we sell A LOT of them for plunking, specifically for Bonneville. Somewhere in the range of 500 or so per year just for that application. Best, Aleks

Introducing the APFG series of blanks! S2 Fiberglass from AGY (manufactured in Aiken, SC) is special. It has the effective modulus of standard carbon. This means that while it has some of the properties of glass, if used properly it can behave like carbon. *The recovery of these blanks if 50% faster than that of traditional "E-glass" It is crisp! *S2 is light. 30% Lighter than tradi

Dear Mr. Eurillo, Thank you for your note. Companies, just like people go through phases of growth. I assume that you would expect something different from your children when they are 30 years or age, as opposed to when they are 15. Most companies do not manufacture in the USA anymore, it is much easier to purchase from a factory located in Asia (and it may be a good factory) and re-sell b

Steve, I appreciated reading your description very much. Take a look at the NEO by NFC, or any of the HYB (hybrid blanks) that go up to 7'11 in length. Here are the links: (I personally run k16s and divers on this blank, and use the lighter 704 for mag lips) The tip is made out of zentron (a high mod glass) and the body is re-inforced with carbon. Peter, The reason why we run promotions is to make it easier for rod builders to try our blanks. If you have an issue with quality or a power of a product - feel free to shoot us a note. Keep in mind that pre-preg has two variables, fiber content and resin content, and it is sometimes +/- 5% From batch to batch or pre-preg, (so if in one batch, the fiber content is higher, and in another lowe

In the last three years we have sat down with dozens of boat captains, deck bosses, pin-heads, highliners, and rod builders on the West Coast – with one goal in mind: to engineer the next generation of blanks needed for
