Thanks for the help, it loads up good and doesn't torque at all. No loading probably due to the number of micro guides I'm guessing. Going fishing all next week, plenty of time to test.

This is a lightweight senko rod. So that's good and I don't have a forgrip. I did load the rod pretty good and saw no contact anywhere. I will mainly pitch and light casts.

This is my first acid wrap and I noticed many are started at 0. I started mine at 60 to 120 to 180. I test cast it an it seems to nice. I am using size 8 fly guides as the transition guides. Using a low profile baitcaster. The line does not come near the blank, just wondering if I will have any other issues I might need to look at?

How do they look on a non white background. And what nail art did you go with? I'm building an Orioles themed rod and was looking at the Boston nail art. Just not sure.

I just placed an order with them, same day shipping. Plus there getting me new 2017 alps products that aren't even on the site. Very excited to see service like this too.
Note: I've also been very satisfied with mud holes service as well.

I had to use a Fuji on my ultra light with arbors because of the diameter of the blank.

I couldn't agree more with David. That is why on my new imm73 that David suggested I am putting an MVT seat on. Because I think it will look awesome. Part of being a custom builder is about the bling factor. Any link to the Richard forhan ecsm mod?

I really like the fuji acs reel seat. Very similar to the alps just much less expensive. Ive used 4 of the pack bay minima reel seats spinning and casting and been happy with them. The fuji is about 7 dollars, but only has one contact point with the blank where the mvt i believe has 3. This is were you hand is touching the blank for more sensitivity. Standard reel seats with graphite arbors

I was reading up on the immortal blanks. Ironically the blank you mentioned is the least expensive of the bunch. I am very great up you can compare my shimano to that blank. That might be my next choice, though I don't think I'll be disappointed with any. How does titanium finish look in person? They all look grey in pictures. One other question, would you acid wrap this? I've been wanting to

I've had good results with the krylon fusion. I would use a body shop if it is a high end blank and the customer or you want a high end paint job(unless you know someone). I used a spray can of urethane on mine to finish. Permagloss is really strong stuff and makes a great finish on just about anything.

This is really helpfu info. I've been using spinning for years until I started bait casting and getting good at it. I can put a lure in the same spot over and over with very little effort. I have to look into the immortal blank. Also are the sc4 st croix sensitive compared to my shimano? I see the immortal is sensitive according to David, but is it durable. I've played with the st croix samples

I have been using a shimano compre for years it's 6'6" medium light spinning, I love the sensitivity of this blank. Looking for something of a baitcaster for the same thing. Looking at a St Croix sc4 or a point blank, also up for suggestions. I've built rods for other people on nice blanks, but now its time for me. Mine have mainly been tests, trash can blanks. I recently built a medium

I've been building grips for three years after buying mikes system. Whenever I need something it's at my front door within a week. Usually two days though. You can make arbors, grips, winding checks, and I made shift knob for my friends truck. The price of mikes system is cheap. I've know some builders will use graphite arbors as the base instead of the foam. Hope this helps, also you can use th
