You may have noticed our site being slow off and on for the past few weeks, we've been doing everything possible to figure this out and low and behold we think we've got it. Our hosting provider 'one of the big guys' informed us today we were on one of their 'older' servers which didn't update automatically as it should have causing our site to have issues. They are switching our site over right

Just checked the awcco Gold against a bunch of golds that we have in stock and Ricky is dead on. I don't think you'll find a closer match than the FH GLD GLD. Not up on our site yet but we have it in stock and are glad to help if we can.

It sounds like something is a little off but you may be able to save it by putting it in your car or out in the sun if you haven't tried that already. Sometimes a little extra heat and time is just enough to get it to cure. Good Luck! If it is still dripping or running this obviously wont' work 'dont get it on your car'. haha

Many reasons to and many reasons not to, one thing I will emphasize as mentioned above is that the epoxy will yellow over time and the look will not remain the same.

Hi Phil, I'm with Russell, the RCLB70ml is a great trolling blank for this part of the EC. I fish from Daytona south to Ft. Pierce. Match that blank up with turbo framed guides and you probably have the most popular trolling setup in florida. We have plenty of RCLB70ml's in stock and are glad to help anyway we can.

Irving, this reminds me of one of the first rods I built. I was getting my butt kicked by tarpon my first year fishing Boca Grande and realized it was because the rear grip was too long. You can imagine the looks from all the boats as I sat right there in the pass when I pulled a hand saw from my toolbox and sawed a couple inches off on the spot. Everyone thought I was nuts for taking a saw to

We had some intermitant issues last week with our site going up and down, they have been resolved and the site is Good To Go! We've added ThreadMaster, Ulimate Gel, Chromaseal, and are currently building our Fish Hawk Thread database which will be finished soon. All are In Stock and Ready to Rock. It may take us a day or so to finish the Fish Hawk Thread upload but it is all on hand, feel fr

Absolutely, graphite seats are much tougher than they look. We use DPSD20's on our tarpon spinners and put the heat on them with 50lb braid.

If the epoxy hasn't setup yet you can add with a little heat and blend it in but I'm guessing you're past that point. One thing I have done on the past is re epoxy the section that the 'O' is in but only extend the epoxy to the nearest change in thread or where the section meets the blank. If you make the transition right on the color change it will be very hard to notice that one section has an

Regardless of what you figure out the issue to be. make sure you have plenty of ventilation Lorenzo. I used to get horrible headaches when epoxying rods due to wrapping them in a room with no ventilation 'dorm room back in the day' and often wonder if any real damage was done.

HI Hank, Cork doesn't really stretch. You'll want to ream it to where it fits snug but not too tight. Cork will crack if it is pushed too far. Have Fun!

Hi Mike, Take a look at the knife jigging blanks fro Batson. The right one for you will depend on the size jig you are using. The strength of these blanks is amazing!!®-composite-knife-jigging-blanks-c-21_183_244.html We have them on hand and glad to help anyway we can.

Roger, you may like the feel better with cork tape as you've mentioned but ultimately you don't have to have it. There is nothing wrong with putting the shrink tubing directly over the blank if that is the look and feel that you want. I prefer wrapping the blank first as shown in Tom's link for a sense of texture under the grip but it's is all up to you. That's the beauty of it.

I would consider using cork or foam and then using the X flock tubing. This way your rod stays light yet is plenty tough.

Bruce, If weight isn't too much of a factor for you, you would probably be fine using a dowel if the diameter of the blank is large enough to receive one with that is strong enough.
