Hello all. wish I was down at the expo, but I will hope to make it next year!! I think I may have turned my wood down a little too much on my first seat. How much play should I have under the hoods? I assume I can make this up with tape but just making sure. Here is a pic: Thanks! Scott

Well, got it together and turned! Loving the look but as you can see in pic number 2, it started to seperate. It was a clean break, so I cleaned it up and redid it with contact cement, Seems fine to me, and strong. Anything I should worry about? Also, how do you think I should cover it / treat it? Thanks again for all the help!

Evening all. Just turned my first real seat. In the middle, I was thinking of putting a small decal, and then of course finish it over with epoxy. Has anyone done this, or is it a bad idea? Thanks in advance Scott

Hi all, I did a search for this but couldn't find anything. Is it ok to combine the two, or no? I was thinking a cork handle with a simple EVA inlay or two. Thanks!

Mike, thanks so much for that info, I appreciate you taking the time to explain it. Sounds very similar to what I do with the decal paper/liquid leaf, but with different paper, and different results as in I like yours better. Thank you again, I really appreciate it. Scott

With the white waterslide, do you have any thread, paint or finish underneath? I had tried the clear waterslide paper and you basically couldnt see anything on the rod! I use the mailing label on liquid leaf as I mentioned above, but would love to be able to do a graphic like that!

I currently use the mailing labels over liquid leaf. I will post some photos, comes out real nice but not as brilliant as some. James, is that Waterslide paper you used in the Ranger Rod? It is beautiful! if so, what did you do under it? Thanks!
