you are right i did mean foam i just had sponge on the brain for some reason i had let the krylon cure the full 7 days before spraying the spar so it was good and dry the spar just didnt stick for what ever reason.

will permagloss work on the krylon fusion paint? what size sponge are you using and how big a hole are you cutting in the sponge ? have been using the spar urathane but the last rod i used it on i put a weave on it and when i took the tape off it peeled the spar off with it. take and run the end of your line around the spool shaft and bring it back out several inches. fold it back toward the spool to form a loop. hold the loop and the main line with thumb and middle finger wrap end of loop around the two lines using right index finger and left thumb and finger about 5 times. run end of loop back up thru loop and pull tight ( spit on the line before you tight

tom i used the contact cement to glue my hypalon rings together not to glue the rings to the blank. i used two part apoxy to lubricate the blank and glue the grips down

i am using the hypalon grips and have cut and glued the different colors together using the dap weldwood contact cement. did exactly what the instructions in the faq section said to do for installing grips. my problem is that while sliding the grip in place the bottom of the grip grab hold of the blank and curled under itself. could not get it to turn back out without tearing the

if you do decide to heat the finish to get rid of bubbles make sure you move the flame pretty quick or you will burn it (been there done that ) you will have a big black spot in the finish at least mine was

thanks guys i have used eva twice before but it was real close to the size of the blank. i just didnt know how far i could stretch it. i used rod bond then but i dont think i have enough left to do this one with. but have the two part appoxie . didnt know if it would be okay to use it or not. i will check out the faq page and do some reading THANKS AGAIN FOR THE INFO.

i am wanting to use the colored hypolon . the id is 11/16 and the butt dia. on the rod is 1 1/8 in. will the hypolon stretch that much? (2) how do you go about determining how far you can stretch the hypolon or the eva? (3) the id on the eva is 3/4 inch will this work on this rod also? what should i use to glue it? two part appoxie (from walmart ) rod bond or does it matte

just my .02 but you might think about using the pvc pipe cement. a can of it will last a long time nomore than will be used on the cap and it will probly be alot cheaper in the long run than using the apoxy and it dries pretty quick. when you apply the cement just turn the cap 1/4 turn and hold for a few seconds and its on there to stay.

hello everybody i need some help uploading a photo. after going thru the steps of selecting catagory, selecting the file and everything click the submit button it tells me the file is a unacceptable format. when i click on the pic to find out what format it is in it shows to be jpg format if that is the wrong format how do i change the format so i can upload the pics?
