Hey guys, Just wondering who has the quickest turnaround time on shipments? How soon after pressing "submit' do you get confirmation your order is shipping? Thanks for your time!

Gotta watch the FlexCoat video and do pretty much exactly as they do. It's really that simple. High Speed, light coats, no bubbles, no issues. I wish I figured it out sooner. Good luck!

Dental rubber bands really help with this part of the mock up. Was a tape guy until finally acquiring some of these a while back. Now I set the guide train with them, static test and eventually wrap the guides all with the same bands. Might have used quite a few cuts of tape before this...... haha

Head out to the garden section of home depot. Look for the white and black tubes outside. If shipping blanks I pack them in a pool noodle. If shipping completed rods with casting triggers or guides in the way, I use the black foam pipe covers they sell in the copper section. They are cut open down the middle and have sticky on both sides allowing you to drop the rod in and seal the foam aroun

Hi Jaret, I didnt mean anything by the question. I was just asking because I don't remember coming along this while learning about rod building. Just wondered if there was a video or builder out there saying to apply finish to the whole blank for a specific purpose. It gets asked here a lot by guys. Curiosity about the source. My apologies if it came off judging.

Where do guys get the idea they need to epoxy the whole blank? Wondering where that comes from? See it here all the time.

Lure/Technique specific models are something I'm looking at with their blanks. So far the applications below have some real nice options if you have bass customers throwing any of this stuff. Glide Baits (R2S 168 and 200 size) Chatterbait Rattle-Trap Flippin 5"+ Flippin Senkos I think the minute they make a big swimbait blank their going to dominate the scene out here. The colors

Arthur, told a guy at Mudhole that when they released their new CRB dryers, which I currently use and are great but boy would what you described be the ticket. I figured out quick some of the best finishers are doing it at high speeds. I did tests on my lathe and knew quick I needed to apply at speed. Only problem is whats out there seams like overkill. I dont want to wrap on this and pay for alu

Hi fellas, I've posted about this stuff before and other then seeing they dont make this product anymore I can't seem to find - why? Maybe I'm an odd one but this stuff was the best CP I've used and made a hack like me look somewhat respectable. Now its gone, I'm down to my last puddle of the stuff and the replacements I've used (white ones) are not in the same class in terms of what works

Hi Roger, If I wanted to have a high speed motor that I could apply finish with what would you suggest? I'd like to be able to hook it up to a dimmer switch if possible? I've been on the prowl for this kind of info for a while. Thank you in advance if you have time!

Playing with bigtime liability risks if you know your MSDS spells out harmful vapors if inhaled but your labeling on the bottle doesnt mention it. I have to hope manufactures are smarter than that.

Bill, Absolutely, static testing tells us. In my experience I end up using around the same amount of guides. Built a couple early on that had fewer guides and I didnt see the gains you have but just prefer the way the line looks under load when I dont drop a couple. Your right though and reminds me to not get content. I'll keep investigating. ;)

Personally I wouldnt say fewer guides is a motivator for me and in fact I probably use the same amount of guides on a spiral wrap as I would a conventional. It's being able to use smaller guides that allow me to not worry about line rub that I find attractive. Line angle under load tells us that whether the guides are on top or bottom the angle is the same. One pulls away from the blank. One
