40. 1st Chevron Wrap
This is my first chevron wrap. I did it on an old Shimano Clarus that needed rebuilding. Any critique would be helpful. I did the tie offs a little out there as I'm still getting used to those.

Balance is desireable as it lends to less fatigue over the day. Flipping for 8+ hours with an unbalanced rod multiple days in a tournament might leave you feeling like you have arthritis. With that said, before considering rear grip length, I've only been able to truly balance one by sticking 2-3oz's of weight in the butt. That's a tough proposition when you pay for a light blank.

The quality of my product was not good enough.
Became impatient with the process and more concerned with the final product.

Great blank for that application, picked mine up a month or 2 ago. I've got a bit of time in the field with their blanks for a wide range of bass applications and you will be happy with the purchase.
Can you hear the braid singing on your new frog rod yet?..... Have fun!!

If it's all you have, sure.
But in the long run get used to using size A thread. Better to get to know what your going to gravitate towards anyways.
It just winds so much smoother and after burnishing looks like paint instead of small rope wrapped around the rod. I'm digging Pro Wrap Nylon right now for those very reasons. No fish eye problems with finish either.
And its plenty strong

Hi Barry,
No doubt about it. Definitely makes the experience longer if the carrier isn't helping. USPS has been the most frustrating but they all can have their moments.
