my question is whats the difference? if they are that heavy or light it doesnt matter really. you can determine it by flexing it, then just see what a blank with that power/ action would be good for. did you get them yet?

nooo. did not do that Roger. lol the epoxy set up finally. but it was definitely still workable after 2 hours. i think because it was so cold in my room. i know i didnt mix it out of the same container because the epoxy wasnt white... nor was it amber colored. it was in the middle. so i know i mixed 50.50.
THANKS!

Just put the grips on my new blank. 12 inch rear 6 inch fore. and reelseat. the epoxy doesnt seem to have dried. i used rod bond, but my room is about 67 degrees. its been at least 2 hours or so and it hasnt set up hard yet. should i be worried. i need to know how to get te stuff of without making a huge mess. IDK WHAT TO DO. ive never had mixing problems before but that is probably what it is. n

If its a 7' blank you are looking for. check out the Seeker Hercules Inshore lite. Sick blank. rated 15-30lb test but you can easily catch a 40lber on it. its a fast action. but it has a sort of cushion when it bends. its a really nice blank. contact Billy Vivona from the NERBS if you want more info. he designed it.

Hey guys, I want to do some marbling, but I want to know what other alternatives there are to the stuff on the rod building websites like CRB pigment and stuff like that. Can i use a regular marbling pigment, paint of some sort? Im curious to know what everyone uses!
Thanks

109. Re: USED FOR?
if they were real heavy blanks they could have used them for tuna jigging. or beating sticks.

To answer your NERBS question,
No you do not have to be a member. We welcome everyone who wants to attend. Rod builders are kind of the only requirement, but even then we have people who just love to fish and see everyone in their own element. Come and you wont be disappointed.

I know what you are talking about but then again, i have a particular shirt and pair of shorts that i wear each time. you never know when it will end up on you. So I don't have to worry by having a certain set of clothes for it. They came to be these infamous pair of clothes when one day i was applying epoxy, and some of it dripped off my brush and landed on my shorts. I didnt realize that it hap

Billy, I like the way you described the "cushion" of the Inshore Lite. Its really what it feels like. The sensitivity of graphite, but that cushion that is has to give it that extra thought in the back of your mind that you can do things with it you wouldn't normally do with an all graphite rods. Ive sold like 4 rods, three of them were Inshore lites, and one was the customers blank, so

He is using Contact cement. Weldwood. not the gel kind, just the regular kind. two coats on each of the pieces you are attaching. first coat not a lot, then let it dry for a little bit, then put another lite coat on both sides, then push together both pieces with all of your elbow grease.
hope it helps. he'll let you know if im wrong or not.
