I used to go there when I was stationed in Chinhae. They are a legit business, but they are operated out of Busan, South Korea so you'll end up paying international shipping charges.

If you type the model number into Google without the Herters, severl results come up. Looks like it was a light action spinning rod.

Cork grip handle, Matagi painted seat. Heat shrink over twine over cork tape foregrip. Batson guides, Japanese Abalone (veneer?) for butt inscription. Sturgeon rod for Mom, think it came out well.

Took me nearly a year to finish this rod, and such a simple wrap. I've been gone so much had to do in sections. Threadmaster CP worked very well on the butt wrap. Very watery, easy to work with and seems like it will be a hard one to mess up. I even tried taking a heat gun to it and sped up the drying process, it still worked like a champ! (Not recommended). Madeira threads, Sulky silver metallic

Started this rod three months ago but left underway before I could finish. Murphy's law kicked my behind on this one, if it could go wrong it pretty much did. The gold threads loosened up in the wrap, something caused hundreds of tiny fisheyes in two of the coats of epoxy on the buttwrap, put the micro-sol on before the epoxy was fully cured and it ate through the epoxy, figured out the hard way

The rod I posted the other day was my first wrap using variegated thread, this is Madeira. Do you guys love it or hate it? I'm still not sure myself if I like it or not! :) Matches the blue/white camo grips somewhat though.

Got out the other night on base. Weather has prevented every boat trip for the last month and a half, so went out on base. Broke my Matrix 7' popping blank in with this seabass and several smaller ones.

No cracking sound, nothing, just noticed my tip was crooked. Rod broke about 11 inches from tip, another lesson learned the hard way.

This is a rod I picked up in Singapore about 8-9 years ago I guess. I remember it was a steal, I picked up this rod with a Shimano Calcutta, plus a Seeker Rod w/ a Shimano Symetre, for about $450 U.S. Anyway, I love the rod and the buttwrap, but haven't been able to figure out how it's done. Some sort of a split diamond? Any ideas? I didn't know it then by the model number (MB-Mag Bass?), I've

Saw a few ideas here recently with Silver and black threads. Figured these good colors to go w/ my Matrix and Titan guides, so borrowed a bit from those ideas into my normal wraps. Home for a week, leave tomorrow, so had a chance to finish this rod. Came out great, until the very end when I noticed I didn't straighten the bottom row of Prizm as I thought it would get wrapped over. Didn't reali

30lb rod to be used mostly for vertical jigging here in Japan for oilfish and maybe tuna or yellowtail. Finally getting more creative in my rods other than "wrap and fish as soon as I can" mode. Pictures taken after CP and 1 coat permaglos.

Closer view as last was hard to see pattern, this one isn't great either. First fish wrap, not first butt wrap (only wrapped a few butt wraps). Definitely need some silver or something to make the fish stand out I think. Phil

Willing to take any advice. First fish wrap, took way longer than I anticipated. Color preserver didn't seat right, ended up with thousands of tiny bubbles making black thread look grey, even though I let the 811 dry 24 hours. A little glitter took the focus off the bubbles. I don't get it. Finish came out wavy, debating whether to leave or cut off and try again.

Dissapointed in results. Didn't look how I anticipated for the number of threads - 20 in the body. Seeker CLB706 blank, not too large. Finish came out wavy, debating cutting off and trying again. Took over 20 hours of work just to do this though.

Triangular reel seat. Cool option for the light saltwater blank. Jury still out on comfort level, but not a bass rod, so won't be holding at reel seat much anyway.

The gold and metallic blue is HT Metallic, blue is Madeira dark teal. Am-tack gold guide, and threadmaster finish. Fell in love with the threadmaster.

Finally, after many years, a butt wrap that I'm somewhat proud of. I'm more of a hurry, wrap, and fish kinda guy. Will upload a higher res pic later, these pics don't do it justice.

Redfish caught on the 18th on a new Lamiglas CGBT 721LL (15lb) blank wrapped into a spinner. Great for jigging.

Swweeeeet! Looks like candy compared to the norm. Put regular on to compare shape, both identical. Coating is hard and seems scratch resistant to me.

is build a rod with a grip too short and have to rebuild with longer grip due to line burns on forearm. I got a bit crazy and wanted to do something different on this rod, going to add a butt to it, too hard to get out of holders.

My experience with glow threads so far has been pretty disappointing. Either didn't glow well, or glowed well until finish was put on it, then stopped glowing. Contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed that to be a known issue. Have seen some rods that glowed really well lately though, do those folks who have had good success mind sharing what thread they used? Hitena was a strike out for

Just some feedback - the initial posting on Facebook only was disappointing as I can't access Facebook from work. Get home, remember to check, and yes, it was not that well put together. Super long intro (2+ mins before anything actually started, which made me wonder if it was working?) and waaayyyy too long of a video for what it was. Not a complaint so much, but offer feedback for what its
