Were there an older/eternity1 version of the ETES610MXF? Because it is listed with a .375 butt (when the manufacturer lists it .486) and it's probably the flimsiest blank mentioned in the thread. Also, rodgeeks has a carbon4 blank that weighs 2.3oz (bass2 version is 3oz and bass4 is 2.7). Lamiglas used to propose heavy blanks for sensitive fishing/dropshot, with many, back in the day, advocating

I'd ask the question also on places like the ultralightflyfishing forum. Such blanks do exist but the bigger / well known manufacturers usually offer a 10ft blank in 4weight. MHX, PacBay Quickline, etc, all are responsive, very light, straight, good looking blanks, with fast actions and not much tip heaviness, but will load better with a 5weight line. There is also the Hook Hackle Xi, defin

You guys always have it easier with the fact that the usdm is the major market in this hobby. Maybe time has come to look in the other markets for a blank like this. At least two well known blanks -and- component suppliers in japan would definitely carry such blanks. Some also with solid tips.

The idea was to find a slow blank. If the blank is slow enough, it can be a little bit more powerful. But the mhx fly series are all fast. The f902 2piece is 3ERN 68AA. I called Dorber last year for their F1201 and despite the fact that it was/is probably the most interesting blank (10ft 1.3ERN 55AA) they have and probably the blank that gets people hooked as it fills a niche, serves people with

If I am not wrong, Bill Byrd used to like the older version of an orvis full flex 7ft 6in, - the superfine 1wt. But why break the bank? Dorber F933/3 has nice stats. Still, contact them and ask for an ultraweave fly rod blank. It might not be as light as a CTS Vintage, DanCraft 0wt, as legendary as the above mentioned Orvis, as colored as a StCroix 3F762.4, etc, but it bends more.

Later edit: I think it is the 0 power for 3-20g as the 1 power is usually a 5-30g cw.

CTS EST is pretty popular in Russia, Germany and Europe in general. Used to be called Salmon and Steelhead series (SS) and it has an isometric taper which means a true progressive bending. EST stands currently for (at least in Europe) extra slim taper and it is used mostly because it is polivalent. In 1 power the casting weight given is something like 3 to 20 grams. In Germany variants of the EST

Also, look at a H2-7A75 blank. Or another one from the same line if you consider it will fit better.

- North Fork blanks are light and high end but not that fast. Maybe someone else has some data on the clones, Mhx, Batson, Pac Bay etc. Lamiglas makes fast blanks. One example would be the Infinity Bass series but those aren't high end and not that light. Phenix makes high end blanks, some of them are light but I don't think there is an extremely fast model. Not in the K2 series. Cts makes high

They charge for the paint job but they can offer IT with few exceptions ON any blank from their catalog, including MHX. They have their own catalog, in Japanese. And Merrick Tackle just brags about being their exclusive dealer. I don't know anything else.

Ask Merrick Tackle. Lamiglas graphite blanks come in Pink, Candy Apple Red, Translucent - Red - Blue - Green or Brown. Lamiglas fiberglass blanks are Candy Apple Red, Pink, Gloss Brown and Forest Green. Is it possible to order just one blank in a certain color but it will cost a certain amount. For 12 blanks of one single color that cost is zero. There is also a Japanese retailer, a pretty big

Maybe it isn't the case anymore but some time ago Merrick Tackle was offering the catalog on sections. Matagi is also available through Merrick Tackle and I am somewhat familiar with the japanese matagi catalog which is available as a whole file but also as parts of it. I remember Merrick Tackle offered sections of the previous catalog, where the info, about a certain category or item name, ma

Well, I thought I should state the page number printed on the margins of the catalog and not the page of the pdf file. My bad then, though I was aware of that.

Later edit: Long story short, N.S Rod (nsrod dot co dot kr) sells complete jigging rods (80 / 150 / 250 / 350 grams) and they made some blanks (250 / 350 / 450 grams) for Kil Song (website in the post above). Black Hole CCS (Cape Cod Special) blanks are rolled with high modulus graphite wide wrapped in an x shape.

A slow rod would get the bend even from a 3 inch baitfish if it has the right power, especially if it is longer. Some time ago you were looking for a fly blank hence you should be already aware of the ccs data mudhole lists for the MHX fly blanks. The 6ft6in 3 piece < .230 butt diameter is around 1 ERN, which means lighter than some triple 0s Sage as in general shorter blanks are lighter and

I am apologizing to Paul as the message I am going to drop in here is probably irrelevant to him and off topic, as it could have not much to do with the subject he lauched or what he currently thinks about some insights he got from the others as being what he might look for/need, but I don't know how else I could reply to John: If I remember correctly, in the CCS data offered on mudhole for th

If 32$ is anywhere around 200$: IF764, batson 7ft6in, 1.06 oz, olympic green color, 4.5 .335 material - good 'ol forecast rx7 graphite, $31.08 if it's still in stock. ERN=3.72 AA=55 (measurement: Tim Skibo, source: good 'ol cc data site)

I was thinking at XST1025F when I wrote 140 $, which is expensive but decent to better solution.
