I find these guides a bit difficult to fit snuggly onto my blank. Somehow there seem to be more "excess" material under the guides than what is the case with similar pacbays. How and where will the experienced rodbuilder grind these guides?
Thanks!

It doesn`t seem to be. Checked out the importer (Anglers Rsrc/Fuji) on the left and couldn`t find it in any other sizes than 7mm. You find them under Products/Original/Silicon Carbide Tip Tops.

Gil and Spencer:
I don`t think this is the case here in Norway. So I think I might start out with the Dan Craft that Shawn suggested. But I`ll get me an XXD to practice with anyway. Do you know if the longer orange competition-version is commercially available in the US?
Thank you!

Dan Craft seems worth trying. Have heard nothing but good things about them and the price is great! Any other ideas?
Thanks!

I`m thinking of getting me a #5 fly blank for long distance casting practice only. Does anyone have an idea were to go? I`ve been thinking of Sage TCR and Loomis GLX. Do you have any other long-casting recommendations?
Thank you!

I think I`ve found the answer to the first question,-must be inner diameter, right? The other question, however is not yet solved: Which fuji tip top MODEL works best on one-handed fly rods?
Thanks again!

In the process of ordering fuji concept tip tops for a few fly rod blanks I noticed that there are three different codes for 5.0 tubed tip tops. Example:
FST65
FST75
FST85
What is the difference?
ALSO: Which Fuji tip tops are the best for one-handed fly rods?
Thank you!

I`ve sent the same Q to AW too but I think you guys will be quicker;-)

There is a small contour showing from the underlaying thread that is inserted into the wraps by the pull-through loop. Will this still be showing after epoxy is applied? Do you manipulate the thread in some way to avoid this contour?
Thanks!

Thanks for the thumbs up, John!
You`re right about the guides. The 12 is a taming guide. I forgot the last stripper. I might even put on another stripper since it`s a 9`7" for a total of 9 running guides. The original guide number is ten though.

Because mr Kirkman himself has convinced me that ceramic guides is THE thing I`ll put them on my Loop yellow-line project too. It`s a 9`7" 6/7 weigt to be used for light salmon and sea trout fishing. I`ve played with some numbers and come up with this sizing chart:
16-12(the two strippers)-10-8-8-8-7-7-7(fuji single foot ceramic running guides, light)
Does anyone have an opinion whethe
