Thanks for the replies gentlemen. I was able to find a few similar to the W&M, better condition on the @#$%& site and they were barely selling for shipping costs so i figured that would be the case. I just wasn't sure about the longer one. I believe he found them at a rummage sale so no sentimental value. Glad to hear honestly as those things need a lot of work and I am low on time these d

Hello all, a friend of mine gave me a couple of older rods to take a look at. I don't know much about them other than they're probably older than me.
I posted some photos of them on the photo side if anyone could leave a comment there or respond to this post with any info regarding the ages or manufacturer of the mystery one, any info at all honestly would be great. He thinks he wants me to rebu

19. Re: cork grips
If you have a drill press, these work great for grip turning, especially if you have a small press that you can lay on its side or back.. .. the price is right too, lance at swampland has mandrels that work perfectly with it.

I like to let the line out behind the boat with no lure and retrieve it a couple times every few trips to help relieve the twist spinning reels impose. I don't have as much trouble with braid as I do with flourocarbon however. Not engaging the bail by hand and checking to make sure the line isn't crossed over the spool lip is the biggest mistake I see people make that are less experienced, espec

I've bought cork rings from them in the past, always quality cork for a great price and great customer service!

I use the 16 kdps with a 16 aero on my personal spinning builds all of the time. Unfortunately the 17 aero and 17 kdps I purchased about a year ago are not compatible. It will screw down, but way too tight for me to even consider. Maybe they have changed since then? Hopefully so, cause I got big mitts and the bigger seat feels real nice.. I dont know about the hps 17.
maybe someone else knows??

I am still using Scott's PSI drill press attachment to this day as a matter of fact. It works great for the 10 or so handles a year I turn on it. I just lay my small drill press on its side and its almost like a real lathe. I can do cork and eva just fine. Swampland has mandrels in different diameters that accept the live center. It's a great starter without the huge price of a lathe, especially

I was just in the D&R sports center out on W. Main today and there was a flyer on their window that looked to be right up your alley. You'd have to run up there and check it out for yourself, as I really didn't pay too close of attention, but it might be a start.

I would love to use them on more of my builds. Unfortunately I can't afford to spend 30-40+ on a guide set that I won't even use half of, and then need to purchase more running guides because I choose not to use those huge runners that you are forced to buy with the set. Amazing system, but bad marketing for the custom builder market IMO.
