Michigan Fly Fishing

I am taking the plunge and am looking for fly casting lessons. Ilive near Kalamazoo. Anyone aware of places and/0r individuals offering lessons? I know only of Schmidts up in Manistee. Looking for something closer to home. Thanks Re: Michigan Fly Fishing

I was just in the D&R sports center out on W. Main today and there was a flyer on their window that looked to be right up your alley. You'd have to run up there and check it out for yourself, as I really didn't pay too close of attention, but it might be a start. Re: Michigan Fly Fishing

Yep randy i'm wrapping up a 7'9" 4 wt, a 7 1/2' 4 wt cane, gotta finish rewrapping an old Shakespear "Jim Dandy" then it's off to finish planeing my PHY Para 15 before a trip to Yellowstone this summer. i thinki'm going to lock the doors to the shop next week and not reopen them until September unless someone asks really nicely. Actually Don, the Yellowstone trip is a 25th Anniversary gift from the wife.
Harry, see if there is a T.U chapter in your area. sometimes they do classes. If you were closer I'd just meet up and give you a bad lesson. Re: Michigan Fly Fishing

Three hour plus drive . Did the best we could. Had ANOTHER stop after. Was a LOOOOONG day but well worth it. Really enjoyed the Roundup. Anything I can do to help out, Don, let me know. Re: Michigan Fly Fishing
