Hello, I was hoping some of you would be able to offer up some suggestions based off experience. I would like to build myself a nice rod, specific to trolling in the waters off of the Florida West Coast. I’ve got a TLD25 that I’ll spool with 60lb braid to pair it with, and I would like to attempt a spiral wrap on it. Preferably in the 6-6’6” range. This is a personal one, so I’m wanting to experiment/try different blanks/manufacturers but would like to do so with some guidance.
Would anyone mind offering blank suggestions for me to check out based off my application? Thank You Re: Trolling Blank

I'm really wanting to stay around the 6-6,6" range, but thank you for the reply. Re: Trolling Blank

If you're going to be fighting the fish from a stand-up position, I'd definitely stick with no more than 6'6" and preferably 6'.

Hello Ken - Here is a link to a MHX Saltwater rod blank for consideration. This blank is a perfect choice for all around trolling or heavy duty saltwater applications. The rod blank is the SW66H-MHX or SW60H-MHX [www.mudhole.com] Thank You Bob McKamey Mud Hole Custom Tackle bobm@mudhole.com Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 11/19/2019 11:03AM by Bob McKamey. I would recommend the American Tackle AXGC66MH for your needs. It's a 20-50lb blank and matches well with the TLD 25 you have. Capt. Craig Freeman Grading Scales Sportfishing and Back River Rods Re: Trolling Blank
