Trolling Blank

Hello, I was hoping some of you would be able to offer up some suggestions based off experience. I would like to build myself a nice rod, specific to trolling in the waters off of the Florida West Coast. I’ve got a TLD25 that I’ll spool with 60lb braid to pair it with, and I would like to attempt a spiral wrap on it. Preferably in the 6-6’6” range. This is a personal one, so I’m wanting to experiment/try different blanks/manufacturers but would like to do so with some guidance.

Would anyone mind offering blank suggestions for me to check out based off my application?

Thank You

some thing different ??? try a spiral wrap it is just what you need on a trolling rod , the rod in the holder it will not want to roll nearly as much with the spiral wrap , I think , could be wrong

Can you live with a 7 footer? Batson RCLB70ML, see a lot of them.

I'm really wanting to stay around the 6-6,6" range, but thank you for the reply.

If you're going to be fighting the fish from a stand-up position, I'd definitely stick with no more than 6'6" and preferably 6'.

Hello Ken - Here is a link to a MHX Saltwater rod blank for consideration. This blank is a perfect choice for all around trolling or heavy duty saltwater applications. The rod blank is the SW66H-MHX or SW60H-MHX [www.mudhole.com] Thank You

I would recommend the American Tackle AXGC66MH for your needs. It's a 20-50lb blank and matches well with the TLD 25 you have.

We have a few options with our RainShadow blanks that are popular with our Florida guides and builders.
FSU60H would be a great choice -[www.rainshadowrodblanks.com]

RT6350 regulation trolling - [www.rainshadowrodblanks.com]

We also have the new RainShadow RSU Stand-Up blanks RSU60MH - [www.rainshadowrodblanks.com]
