Blank ID question

Hi All this is my first post here.. hope it doesn't seem too dumb.. My friend has a custom made swimbait rod with no blank name other than SCR 801 "swimbait special" 3/4-3oz baits medium heavy action.. any help in ID on this blank would be appreciated.. Ed Re: Blank ID question

Going to be hard to identify by that alone, unless one of the blank makers specifically uses that numbering nomenclature.

I think you may have a rod made by Steve Biechman (Steve's Custom Rods), out of Redding, Ca. Found a post on a message board where he mentioned that very rod number. Re: Blank ID question

Have your friend use a dial caliper and measure the id of the rod blank.
