MHX P903 vs HS9000

Could somebody compare the HM-P903-MHX to the HS9000-MHX? I know one is higher modulus. What I'm really looking for is a comparison of the actions.

Marty,
I have already replied to your question in the inquiry you made on FB. Except in that post you inquired about the P903-MHX not the HM version. Here is the reply I posted there. The only exception is that the HM-P903-MHX is even faster than the P903-MHX.

Marty,
I'm answering this here instead of by email so it may benefit others.
For a flats application such as you suggested in your email both work very well. The differences are that the HS9000 is a Mod/Fast action where the P903 is a lighter tipped faster action blank. I have used both extensively and each are excellent flats rods. It will really depend upon whether you want a lighter tip (P903) faster action rod or a little more mod/fast action tip (HS9000) rod.

Regards,

Todd

The HM model sounds very, very nice. That is interesting to know that in addition to being lighter it is also faster. I notice the casting weight range is lower on the HS9000, but should I expect that I can actually cast lighter weight with the P903 given that it has the lighter tip? It looks like I can't go wrong with either.
