Been out of the rod building circuit for a few years. Are Wiebe reel seats still manufactured or are they out of business, love the spinning seats.
Thanks Re: Wiebe reel seats

Different name now, Angler's Workshop has a bunch of the with or without the cork grips. The wood inserts are still around also. Re: Wiebe reel seats

Can you share the new name for these seats? I couldn't locate the seats in a quick review of AW's website
Thanks Rick Re: Wiebe reel seats

I have a number of Ken's original reel seats with and without the trigger. When I put on a display of rod building supplies and demonstrated rod building at an Ed Rice International Sportsmans Expo back in the 80's I had Ken help me out. Actually he spent most of the time out on the floor of the expo promoting his products, but it was fun and I had the largest booth at the show. If I am not mistaken Allen Putnam of Landmark fame, made the metal parts, ie. the threaded barrels, nuts, and hoods for Ken. I have a bunch of those also since Allen had me test and evaluate nearly everyone of his seats. I still really like the threaded Diamond Wood reel seats he made, and we fine tuned them together. Wish they were still made. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
