An inset in the article detailing how to use the holo paper mentioned several types of ink that were currently(at the time of the article) incompatible with the holo, silver and gold papers. These included Epson's Claria ink which my new printer uses. The last paragraph of the inset stated:
"The manufacturer says that they are currently working on a solution to the current incompatibility with the newer solvent based archival inks and should have new and compatible media available very shortly." Did that mean to imply they were going to develop new archival inks that would be compatible with the paper - or - would they be making the existing archival inks (i.e. Claria) compatible with the paper? I still have a few sheets of holo that I'd like to use but since is isn't really available anymore or at least very cost prohibitive, I don't want to waste any of it unless I'm reasonably confident it will work. The manufacturer of the paper, not the ink. The paper manufacturer was changing the paper. The printer and ink makers probably aren't too concerned about a particular company's paper media.
I have changed the percent shade to reduce the amount of ink sprayed on the paper and had reasonable success that way. Just something you can try if you feel bold. ............. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
