I haven't used that blank but know many guys who swear by Dan Craft blanks. The few I've played around with were quite good. Very good value and performance for the money. As good, I think, as many blanks costing more. Whether or not they'll appeal to you I can't say. You have to decide that for yourself but if you'll do a search of this forum, I think the majority of the comments you'll find about these blanks are overwhelmingly positive.
Dan was once a sponsor here but has not been in some time, so hopefully you won't feel my comments are biased. .................. Re: dan craft blanks

The CCS Data Site will give you some technical information about Dan Craft blanks in the rod section as well as the blank section. Frankly I have found his blanks to perform well against all others but at the same time all manufacturers tend to design some unique features in their blank lines that don't allow perfect comparisons. Since I can't build on all of them I now limit my personal rods to Dan Craft blanks exclusively and feel very comfortable with that decision. I have that blank in the 6wt, 9'-6", 4 piece. I really like the action and it can cast a ton of line as well as load in close. I've used both sink tip and floating lines in the 6wt class and it seems to be pretty true to its rating. I wouldn't think the 7wt would be that much different. Re: dan craft blanks

Bryon -
I own a 5 wt and it casts like a dream. Dan Craft blanks are entirely comparable to the big names you mentioned. The Signature V is a great all around blank for throwing anything. I have built many other rods on his FT blanks and love those as well. Tony Re: dan craft blanks

I own the 10 ft 7 wt and a 9ft 6 in 6 wt, they are their own animale, but probably closest to the older GLX rods, not sure about the new GLX rods as they come in many favors now. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
