Second coat of TM regular

How soon can I put a second coat of TM regular on? I am a little pressed for time on a fly rod I am doing. Firrst coat has been on for an hour. Temp in the cave rodbuilding room is approx 70. Thanks

As soon as the first coat is no longer "sticky" and you can get a brush or spatula on it without disturbing the first application, you're good to go. I would suspect, however, that an hour might not be long enough. By 4 or 5 hours you should be okay.

I've been doing 5 or 6 hours, just when it's losing its tack, at around the same temp, and haven't had problems. You could probably press it tighter than that time interval but an hour is too soon (at least in my room and with my skill set),
