I am building a fly rod for a friend who just made Chief Master Sargent in the Air Force. It will be an Air Force themed rod. Any sources for Air Force decals are appreciated.

You can probably find some really small ones in a 1/72 model airplane kit.

Sam,
The Airforce.com website states that what is on the site is "Public Domain" so you
might be able to save some pix from there and have Decal Connection make some
decals for you. I didn't really click around to see what might be found though.

Why not print your own? You can easily adapt this tecnique for use with solid white decal transfer paper with no thread underlay or do it as described in the tutorial.

I would second Decal Connection, can't see there being any sort of issue with using the graphic.

With the Navy Senior Chief anchor, are you looking for the rating badge or the anchor? If your looking for the anchor should be fairly easy to create, as it is all gold with silver lettering and star. If you need help finding the graphics, shoot me an E-mail to itc@ddg89.navy.mil Something tells me I can probably help you out with that graphic. If your looking for the rating badge (stripes) let me know for what rating and I'll see what I can find.

I've made a few rods for an Air Force colonel. I had Decal Connection print up the AF logo and the colonel insignia. I used them alongside his name and also as ferrule alignment marks. He loved it.
