Jim, Tom; everyone, thanks so much for the information about Diamondite. I got more practical information from you than I was able to gleam from the Swifty website. But now, thanks to Tim Campbell, I know who to call with questions. I'm ordering a batch from Acid Rod in just a minute.

Marc, sorry for "horning in" on your thread. You asked the very same question I was going to. Would like you to post your experiences with Diamondite (especially their pressure mixing gun).

Jim, I finally got what you meant by "the buzz". All this time I just thought I was having flashbacks...

RON.

Hey Ron,

No "horning in" here - the more we communicate, the more we all learn. I'll post my results later next week.

Thanks,
Marc

Hey guys,

I'm a "newbie" at rod building and am still working on my first complete rod.
I live in Tampa Bay Florida and have used Gudebrod high build on the under wraps.
It turned into jello in about 2-3 minutes... I've remixed it in 6mm batches (2x3mm) and
have the same results. I am VERY interested in the Diamondlite finish.

My question is, "Can I use the Diamondlite over the gudebrod high build"?

Any imput is very welcome... I appreciate all you have posted and given me the
courage to give this a try. I have had a blast after work in the garage!

Thanks,
Byron

Follow-Up...

Who would have believed one could get nervous
posting on the Phorum... Rookie!

I'll call Tim at the provided number tomorrow.
It will be in regard to "Diamondite", and I have
no idea how you apply a "mm" of liquid.

Just the same, the information provided by ALL
of your efforts, both successful and errors are an
invaluable savings of both time and money to the
new guys.

Thanks again,
Byron
